Help 3rd graders master math facts faster with exciting multiplayer rounds that turn daily fluency practice into a game.
Third graders are moving beyond basic addition and subtraction and starting to build real multiplication fluency, so math facts practice needs to be fast, focused, and motivating. MathIt turns that practice into live multiplayer challenges where kids race to solve equations, strengthening automatic recall across key math facts while staying engaged. With kid-friendly gameplay, quick rounds, and adjustable difficulty, it’s a fun way for 8- and 9-year-olds to practice the facts they need most.

Everything you need to make math practice stick
Easy, Medium, and Hard modes — from basic addition to mixed operations with multiplication and division.
Compete with 2-5 players simultaneously in real-time math battles. Every millisecond counts!
First correct answer earns 2 points, second earns 1 point. Speed and accuracy both matter.
Answer as many as you can in 60 seconds. No sign-up — this is the same practice you get in the MathIt app.
Mixed practice is harder than it looks, and usefully so. When every question is addition, a child can switch off and apply one procedure; when the operation changes each round, they have to read the problem first. That reading step is exactly what breaks down in word problems and on tests, so drilling it deliberately is worth the extra difficulty.
Third grade belongs to the times tables. Multiplication and division are introduced together, area and arrays give them a picture, and rounding to the nearest ten and hundred begins. It is the highest-leverage year in elementary arithmetic: the tables learned here carry fractions, long multiplication and mental math for the rest of school, and gaps left now surface for years.
3rd graders are expected to work across all four operations at small numbers, deciding which one a problem calls for; after that comes all four operations at small numbers, chosen at random.
Watch for picking an operation from a keyword in a word problem instead of from what is being asked.
