About MathIt

MathIt is a real-time multiplayer math game available on iOS and Android. Players create or join rooms, compete in timed math rounds across three difficulty levels, and track their scores on a global leaderboard.

Information We Collect

• Anonymous identifiers — We use Supabase anonymous authentication. No email, password, or real name is required to play.
• Display names — The nickname you choose when creating or joining a room.
• Game data — Scores, game results, and leaderboard entries.
• Device and usage data — Platform (iOS/Android), language preference, and app interaction data collected via analytics to improve the service.
• Purchase information — If you subscribe to the ad-free plan, payment is processed securely by Apple or Google. We do not store your payment details.

How We Use Your Information

• Providing and operating the multiplayer game experience
• Displaying leaderboard rankings
• Processing in-app subscriptions
• Improving app performance and fixing bugs
• Displaying advertisements (for free-tier users via Google Mobile Ads)

Data Sharing

MathIt does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with analytics providers to improve the service. Advertisements are served by Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

MathIt is designed to be family-friendly and suitable for players of all ages, including children. We take children's privacy seriously and have designed the app with privacy by default:

• No personal data required — MathIt uses anonymous authentication. No email, password, real name, or date of birth is collected from any user, including children.
• No chat or social features — Players cannot communicate with each other within the app. Rooms are private and only accessible via a shared code.
• No behavioral tracking of children — We do not build profiles of individual users. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.
• Advertising — Free-tier users may see ads served by Google AdMob. For child-directed content, AdMob serves only limited, non-personalized ads in compliance with COPPA. Parents can remove all ads via the ad-free subscription ($0.99/month or $5.99/year).
• Parental control — We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children's use of the app. If you believe any data has been inadvertently collected from a child, please contact us at support@mathit.app and we will promptly delete it.

Security

We take the security of your information seriously. All communication between the app and our servers uses encrypted connections. Payment transactions are processed securely by Apple and Google and are not stored on our servers.

Data Retention

• Game data: Retained while the service is active.
• Leaderboard entries: Retained while the service is active or until you request deletion.
• Anonymous accounts: May be purged after extended periods of inactivity.

Your Rights
