Help 6th graders master division facts, quotients, and mixed problems through fun real-time multiplayer competition.
MathIt makes division practice feel like a live challenge instead of another worksheet, which is perfect for 6th graders building confidence with quotients, remainders, and multi-step thinking. In each fast round, players race to solve division problems before their friends, keeping 11- to 12-year-olds focused, motivated, and eager to improve. It’s a fun way to strengthen number sense while practicing the kind of division skills 6th graders use in class.

Everything you need to make math practice stick
Play in your native language. MathIt supports English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Japanese, and 14 more.
Easy, Medium, and Hard modes — from basic addition to mixed operations with multiplication and division.
Fast-paced timed challenges. Equations advance every 10 seconds — solve them before time runs out!
Answer as many as you can in 60 seconds. No sign-up — this is the same practice you get in the MathIt app.
Long division, remainders and division by decimals all sit on instant recall of the basic facts. Where recall is missing, the procedure becomes a series of guesses, and students lose track of the algorithm while hunting for a product. Division is also where fraction sense begins: a fraction is a division waiting to happen.
Sixth grade is the bridge into algebra. Ratios and proportions, negative numbers, one-step equations and expressions with unknowns all arrive, and every one of them assumes fluent arithmetic underneath. A student solving 3x = 21 has to see 21 ÷ 3 instantly, or the algebra gets buried under the calculation.
6th graders are expected to use division in ratio and rate problems and to solve one-step equations; after that comes division in ratio, rate and one-step equation problems.
Watch for inverting a ratio and dividing the wrong way round.
